The door openers we provide can be fitted to almost any type of door, from wood to UPVC, through to aluminium, or indeed any other permutation such as composite.

Even where the locks can pose a problem, such as some UPVC five point shoot bolts, there are solutions possible.

One of the best features of the Possum door openers is that they are primarily designed as a neat add-on unit to any existing door, thereby eliminating the need for expensive replacement of existing doors. The only requirement is for a nearby source of power, typically an easily fitted fused spur in the vicinity of the top of the door.

Because of the inherent flexibility of Possum door openers, the way in which they are operated can be tailored to the particular needs of the client. There is a wide range of switches available, from wall mounted, radio controlled or infra red, to touch-free proximity switches. Possum can provide a solution for anyone!

Maintenance contracts for door openers:

Maintenance contracts will be offered to cover new door openers supplied. These will be available on an annual basis renewable on the anniversary of the purchase. Maintenance contracts for periods of up to 5 years will be made available to purchase in advance.

Product coming onto maintenance:

If the maintenance product is out of maintenance due to the fact that the option was not renewed, or not taken out at the time of purchase or the product was purchased independently, the offer of a maintenance contract will only be made at the discretion of the company. This will also be subject to payment for an inspection of the door opener to ascertain its worthiness for maintenance cover. Any work required to bring the product up to maintenance standard will be quoted and must be paid prior to coming onto maintenance.

To recognise the fact that multiple year contracts are paid for in advance, a discount is given each year based on the previous years equivalent cost per annum. This is currently set to reflect a cost that represents 90% of the previous years cost. Therefore on a 5 year contract the saving over the period would amount to 18.0% compared to paying each year.

Included is an annual service visit, fault repairs on site, replacement batteries and consumable items such as nuts, bolts, spacers, etc. but excluding major parts such as motor, gearbox, circuit board etc.
