Flood Detector

Info

Placed on the floor, when the device detects the presence of water it will send an alert to a care phone or pager.

The water detector is intended to be used with the InfoPager or care phone to detect water under the unit caused by spills or possiblly leaks. When water is detected the unit will sound, flash and send a radio signal to the InfoPager or another receiver.

The water detector is powered from a 9V alkaline battery which is delivered together with the unit. For safety reasons, the water detector has been designed to make it impossible to mount the unit without installing a battery. The battery condition is checked regularly. When it becomes weak a radio signal is sent to the InfoPager. After this the unit will notify the user by a visual and acoustical indication of 85 dB(A).

The radio transmitter uses the EU recommended frequency (869.2 MHz) dedicated for social alarms. This means that there is a very small chance of interfering sources. That is not the case for triggers using 433 and 868 MHz frequencies.

FLOOD is CE marked and fulfils the LVD, EMC and R&TTE regulations.
