Alarm output conditions
The unit emits an audio alarm (85dB) and pertinent Neat RF alarm event upon detection of moisture in the monitored area by sensing a change of resistance between the metal contact pads located on the lower panel.
Power requirements:
The unit is powered by a single replaceable 9V PP3 Alkaline battery (supplied). The battery life is dependant on the applied usage, alarm timings and the type of target receiver. When used with a Novo carephone the expected life should exceed a period of 24 months. When the unit detects the battery is in a low battery condition it reports the status by the transmission of pertinent RF data to suitably enabled receivers.
Getting started:
1. Remove the product from the box. Dispose of the packaging in accordance with local directives.
2. Decide on the best location for the flood detector to be installed. Ideally where the water is going to pool towards in the event of a flood event occurring.
Ensure the detector is not installed in areas where it is likely to be wholly immersed in water. Refer to the provided flood detector manufacturers guide for additional installation information. Note: The sensing contacts panel can be removed to allow the main unit to be located at a height of approximately 70cm above the floor. Please use suitable adhesive etc to ensure the contacts remain in contact with the area being monitored.
3. Remove the rear battery panel cover from the flood detector and insert the 9V PP3 battery.
